If you’re a Doctor in Geelong, Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, or surrounds, your patients can get focused psychological strategies under the Medicare rebate sessions under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan, which is currently 20 sessions per year with the new Covid-19 Items. IF YOU ARE A CLIENT
There are three main ways you can see a Psychologist at Happy Minds Psychology.
You can see your Doctor and get a Mental Health Care Plan from your Geelong GP, which gives you a rebate of $88.25 per session for up to 20 sessions per year with the new Covid-19 items. Your Geelong GP can give you a care plan covering you for six rebates in the first round. Once you have the care plan, please email us at [email protected].
As a private client. You can book an appointment as a private client, which means you pay the full fee rather than get a rebate on services.
Use your private health cover. You can also use your private health fund to receive a rebate on sessions, the amount depends on the level of cover you have, and you will need to ask your health fund for the amount of reimbursement you will receive.
HOW TO GET A MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN
Simply contact your GP in Geelong or surrounding areas, or if you require counselling via Telehealth or Phone, a local GP should be able to help you with obtaining a Mental Health Care Plan. Ask your GP to address the referral to: Sarah-Jayne Duryea
